Pursuing New Opportunities Job Fair and Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme Job Expo to offer over 3,000 quality vacancies

27th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) The Labour Department (LD) is set to organise the Pursuing New Opportunities Job Fair and Greater Bay Area (GBA) Youth Employment Scheme Job Expo at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai on March 30. With more than 35 organisations participating in the event, over 3,000 quality vacancies will be provided for job seekers. The fair will offer positions suitable for graduates of tertiary institutions, and a wide range of industries, including catering, retail, and hotels.

2,600 job vacancies from various industries at the Job Fair About 35 organisations will participate in the Pursuing New Opportunities Job Fair, offering over 2,600 job vacancies from various industries, with over 1,200 vacancies coming from the catering, retail and hotel industries. The event will feature booths set up by these organisations for conducting on-the-spot recruitment. The fair will offer a variety of job positions, including senior sales manager, accounting officer, systems engineer, investment analyst, community relations officer, marine operations assistant officer, aircraft engineering licence trainee, e-commerce assistant, nutritionist, registered nurse, marketing assistant, and customer services officer. Most vacancies will offer monthly salaries ranging from $12,000 to $23,000. Additionally, around 81% of the vacancies are full-time jobs, with around 68% of the positions open to job seekers without relevant work experience.

GBA Youth Employment Scheme Job Expo to Provide over 400 job vacancies In addition to the Job Fair, more than 20 organisations from various industries will participate in the GBA Youth Employment Scheme Job Expo, providing over 400 job vacancies in GBA Mainland cities. These vacancies include positions such as management trainee, administrative executive, banking operations officer, news editor, product designer, engineer and business intelligence analyst. Eligible graduates will be offered a monthly salary of not less than HK $18,000. Only Hong Kong residents awarded bachelor’s degrees or above from 2021 to 2023 are eligible to apply for the vacancies. The GBA Youth Employment Scheme kick-off ceremony and briefing session will be held at 2.30pm on the same day.

Opportunities for Job Seekers Job seekers attending the event can submit job applications during the event and may be selected for on-the-spot interviews. They can also make enquiries on the employment services provided by the LD at its counter inside the venue. The fair is open to all job seekers who are looking for quality vacancies.

Admission is Free The event will be held at Hall 3G of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, from 11am to 5.30pm, with the final admission time at 5pm.
