29th November 2019 – (Hong Kong) Days after Pan-Democrat candidates secured a landslide victory and a day after President Trump inked the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, the pro-democracy movement has not lost its momentum. Many civilians have assumed that the protesters would have slowed down as they have gotten their wishes granted. However, as long as the government does not respond to their five demands, it seems like the movement will not stop.
Netizens organised a new ‘Lunch with you’ rally via Telegram channel @lunchwithyou today at 12.45pm on Peddler Street in Central and several other districts today. Protesters in suits and others clad in black are expected to turn up to shout slogans and wave American flags.
Elsewhere in Kowloon Bay and Lai Chi Kok, protesters will gather at the same time at Zero Carbon Park and Cheung Shun Street respectively at the same time. They will also gather at Wong Chuk Hang between 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Similarly, protesters will assemble at One Island East in Taikoo Place at 12.30pm before marching towards Tong Chong Street.
Meanwhile at 7.30pm today, protesters will gather at the British Consulate General in Admiralty.
