Protesters return to block Cross Harbour Tunnel again


5th August 2019 – (Hong Kong) Around 500 protesters gathered outside Sogo and set up barricades on Percival Street and Lockhart Road at around 6.50pm today. At around 8pm, protesters were bashed by around 20 mobs in in white. However, the mobs were outnumbered and they subsequently dispersed .

Protesters then returned to Cross Harbour Tunnel entrance at Hong Kong island side to block the traffic at 10.43pm. Earlier today, protesters barricaded the entrance to the tunnel at Kowloon side.

Meanwhile at 9.30, the organiser of the Admiralty strike announced that there were 150,000 people who participated today.
