Protesters in stand off with riot police at Ngau Tau Kok Police station on Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong (Updated 4.40pm)


24th August 2019 (August) Protesters left InPARK at Tsun Yip Street at around 1.30pm before reaching Zero Carbon Building in Kowloon Bay at 2.09pm. American Flags and British flags were hoisted amongst the crowd.

At 2.37pm, some protesters gathered in front of Ngau Tau Kok police station near Wai Yip Street and blocked the road with bamboos and water filled barriers. Many riot police were on standby outside the police station while blue flag was hoisted at 2.50pm.

Meanwhile, some pro-Beijing supporters clashed with protesters outside RTHK Television House.

At 3pm, police sealed off the road from Telford Gardens towards Kwun Tong. Many riot police were spotted outside Telford Plaza.

At 4.30pm, red flag was hoisted at 4.30pm by riot police. Pepper projectiles were fired by riot police at 4.35pm. Police commenced arrests of several protesters at 4.40pm. Black flag was again hoisted at 4.42 and tear gas rounds were fired.
