9th November 2019 – (Hong Kong) Netizens urged protesters to gather at seven districts this evening following the death of the 22-year-old HKUST student, Alex Chow yesterday. At around 8pm, 4-5 protesters clad in black set fire to building materials with combustible liquid in front of Tuen Mun Government Offices. They fled immediately after committing the arson. Bystanders who witnessed the incident called police and firemen rushed to the scene to put out the fire.
Meanwhile, around 100 civilians gathered at New Town Plaza to fold paper birds and erect Lennon Wall Message Board. Some of them laid flowers on the floor and the atmosphere was rather peaceful.
