17th April 2024 – (Hong Kong) Julien’s Auctions invites you to step back into the whirlwind life of Princess Diana with its forthcoming exhibition “Princess Diana’s Elegance & A Royal Collection.” This extensive collection, the most significant assembly of her memorabilia since a landmark 1997 auction, offers a profound insight into the life and style of the People’s Princess. The preview of this exceptional collection is set to begin at K11 MUSEA from 17th to 29th April, 2024.

This exclusive pop-up preview not only showcases a breathtaking array of Princess Diana’s fashion but also illuminates her impact on royal and British fashion history. The live and online auction, scheduled for Thursday, 27th June, 2024, will feature iconic garments and accessories, including some of Diana’s most recognizable outfits.

Visitors to the K11 MUSEA will have the unique opportunity to witness the evolution of Princess Diana’s style. From the timeless elegance of Catherine Walker’s designs to the bold drama of Victor Edelstein’s creations, the exhibition highlights include the iconic midnight blue strapless gown by Murray Arbeid, valued between $200,000-$400,000, and the striking magenta silk and lace gown by Edelstein, similarly priced.

Further exploring her personal style, the exhibition delves into Diana’s everyday fashion choices, like the charming pink floral shirt dress by Catherine Walker, showcasing her blend of elegance and practicality. These pieces offer a more intimate glimpse into the Princess’s life beyond her public persona.

The auction also celebrates other notable figures in British royal fashion, featuring items such as a rare Christian Dior gown once owned by Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor, and a nightgown from Queen Victoria, providing a broader historical perspective on how fashion has shaped and reflected various eras.

A significant part of the proceeds from this auction will support Muscular Dystrophy UK, continuing Princess Diana’s legacy of compassion and humanitarian work.
