Prince of Wales Hospital seeks public assistance in Locating missing 72-year-old female patient

20th September 2023 – (Hong Kong) In a statement issued today, the spokesperson for Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) urgently appealed for help in locating a patient who left the hospital without providing any prior notice.

The patient in question is a 72-year-old woman who sought medical attention at the Accident and Emergency Department of PWH last night. However, she unexpectedly departed from the hospital premises at approximately 4.20am.

Following her departure, security guards immediately initiated a thorough search of the hospital compound and the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, their efforts proved unsuccessful. Recognizing the significance of the situation, PWH has promptly reported the incident to the local authorities, specifically the Police.

The missing patient is described as a female, approximately 1.6 meters tall, with a slender build. At the time of her departure, she was wearing black trousers and a grey top.

PWH is now reaching out to the public and urging anyone with information about the patient’s whereabouts to come forward. Individuals who may have seen her or have any relevant details are kindly requested to contact Tin Sum Police Station at 3661 1706. In case of emergencies or immediate sightings, it is advised to dial the emergency hotline 999.

The hospital emphasises the importance of community support in resolving this matter swiftly and ensuring the safety and well-being of the missing patient.
