Porsche car crashes into parking payment booth at Railway Plaza carpark in TST, driver arrested for drink driving

25th November 2022 – (Hong Kong) At 11.15pm yesterday, a Porsche Panamera lost control and crashed into the shroff office/parking payment booth in the parking lot of Railway Plaza, 37-43 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui. The booth involved in the incident was built with an aluminium frame and it was destroyed. The body of the car was damaged, the door was blocked and could not be opened resulting in the driver being trapped in the car. The security guard of the building learned of the accident through CCTV footage and rushed to the scene. It happened that a police officer was patrolling outside the building, so he asked the police for help.

The firefighters were called to the scene and rescued the male driver of the sports car (75 years old). He was not injured but he failed the breathalyser test. The police arrested him for suspected “drink driving”. He has been released on bail pending further investigation and must report to the police in mid-December.
