26th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) A police car crashed in Kowloon’s Kwai Chung district this morning, just hours after another accident involving another police vehicle in Wan Chai. The incident occurred at 10.52am as the police car was driving downhill along Kwai Shing Circuit towards Tsuen Wan. The vehicle crashed into a stone barrier in front of Block 9 of Kwai Shing West Estate, damaging the front of the car and causing part of the body to cross the opposite lane. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

According to a dash cam footage, it was raining heavily and the road was slippery at the time of the accident. The police car had its warning lights on as it descended the slope. When it reached the lamp position, it seemed to have failed to brake in time, probably because there was a car stopped in front of it. The car hit the stone barrier on the roadside, causing part of the front to point in the opposite direction. There were two officers in the police car at the time of the accident. After the accident, the police officer driving the car got out to check the situation, and the footage ended.
