1st October 2023 – (Hong Kong) In light of the National Day celebrations, the Hong Kong police deployed approximately 7,500 officers across the city to ensure public safety and prevent any potential reoccurrence of radical protests. However, last night at around 10pm, a report was received by the police indicating the discovery of multiple bottles of thinner and even a black flag with Hong Kong independence slogans in a staircase of a tenement building located at 78 Lok Shan Road in To Kwa Wan. Concerned by the nature of the report, the police promptly responded to the scene. However, upon investigation, no such items were found, confirming that it was a false alarm.

Authorities are now looking into whether the incident was a case of malicious intent, categorising it as a “waste of police resources.”
