15th March 2019 – (Hong Kong) Special squad from the Sham Shui Po Police District received tip-off and raided a unit located in an industrial building located between 489-491, Castle Peak Road, Cheung Sha Wan at around 9pm last night. They found 4 arcade gaming machines that’s part of the increasingly popular—and controversial—”Fish game” genre to cater for local gamblers. A 26 year old suspect who was managing the arcade and 3 more local female gamblers aged between 36 -54 years old were arrested in the operation.
Police seized a total of 4 arcade gaming machines, HK$5,600 cash, a card reader and lots of game cards. All the suspects are currently being detained and initial investigations revealed that the arcade has been in operation for around 1 month.
