Police officers arrest 5 for suspected drug trafficking in Sha Tin district hotel


18th June 2024 – (Hong Kong) Police officers in the Sha Tin district took action based on intelligence and extensive investigations at the Regal Riverside Hotel on Tai Chung Kiu Road yesterday afternoon. During the operation, authorities searched two hotel rooms and seized approximately 60.7 grams of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of around HK$45,000.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that three men and two women, aged between 25 and 52, have been arrested on charges of “drug trafficking” and “possession of dangerous drugs.” The individuals in custody are currently undergoing further investigation after their apprehension.
