Police offer HK$800,000 to anyone who has information related to the culprit who hit a 70-year-old Chinese in Sheung Shui before he died


10th December 2019 – (Hong Kong) At about 11:52 a.m. on Wednesday 13 November 2019, a 70-year-old Chinese male LUO Changqing (Deceased) passed by the carriageway outside North District Town Hall, 2 Lung Wan Street, Sheung Shui. An unknown person threw a hard object and hit Deceased’s head. The man was later certified dead at 10:51 p.m. on Thursday 14 November 2019 after arrival at the hospital.

Police posted on Facebook and their website today to offer a reward of HK$800,000 to any member of the public who has information related to the crime or information about the identity or whereabouts of the culprit.

The reward will be paid, either in full or pro-rata, to a member of the public, or apportioned amongst members of the public, giving information within the period specified in this notice leading to the arrest and satisfactory prosecution of the culprit(s). For the purpose of the reward, “satisfactory prosecution” shall mean that the arrested person(s) is/are found to have a case to answer in cases in Magistrates’ Courts, District Court or Court of First Instance of the High Court of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
