Police erect roadblocks at Cross-Harbour Tunnel and Western Harbour Crossing to conduct checks on vehicles


1st July 2020 – (Hong Kong) The direction towards Hong Kong at CrossHarbour Tunnel was closed at around 1pm today, a large number of police officers in Hung Hom suddenly erected roadblock at CrossHarbour Tunnel.

Meanwhile, 3 lanes towards Hong Kong island at Western Harbour Crossing were also blocked by police. Many cars were stopped and searches were conducted. Some drivers had to open the boot of their cars for the police to investigate. The traffic jam spammed over 300 metres.

Clashes have broken out in Causeway Bay at noon where hundreds of protesters gathered to oppose the new National Security Law.
