Police crack down on vice in Mong Kok, arrest suspected operator of prostitution establishment


24th May 2024 – (Hong Kong) During a police operation in Mong Kok, a total of 19 premises were inspected, leading to the apprehension of 435 men and 430 women. In one residential unit on Prince Edward Road West, suspected to be a hub for prostitution, authorities successfully raided the premises and discovered a substantial quantity of contraceptives. A local male resident, identified as a 57-year-old individual surnamed Lo, was arrested on charges of “operating a prostitution establishment.” Additionally, an 18-year-old woman was taken into custody on Sai Yee Street for allegedly failing to carry proper identification while being subjected to inspection at a gaming shop.
