Police arrest 12 more suspects in connection with street fight in Sai Kung

17th January 2022 – (Hong Kong) At around 2.30am yesterday, the police received a report that there were around 20 people fighting at the junction of Yi Chun Street and Man Nin Street in Sai Kung, so they sent a large number of police officers to the scene to investigate. The police first intercepted a local man (17 years old) and a 22-year-old Pakistani man with an identity card at the scene. After investigation, the two were arrested for participating in a street fight.

At the same time, the police found that another group of men and women involved in the case had boarded multiple vehicles and fled, so they searched in the nearby area, and found a damaged private car on the Hiram’s Highway towards Kowloon near the roundabout at Nam Pin Wai. The police then intercepted 4 men and 1 woman (aged 22 to 31) near the roundabout, and arrested 5 people.

After further investigation, 12 more people were arrested today (17th), bringing the total number of arrests in the case to 19. The police will explain the case later.
