Police appeal for public assistance in locating missing elderly man in Kwai Chung


12th February 2024 – (Hong Kong) The police have reached out to the public for any information that may aid in the search efforts to locate a missing individual in Kwai Chung. The man in question, Wong Yau-shing, aged 87, disappeared from his residence in Lai King Estate yesterday morning (11th February). Concerned about his well-being, his family promptly reported his absence to the authorities on the same day.

Wong Yau-shing is described as being approximately 1.6 meters tall, weighing around 55 kilograms, and having a slender physique. He has distinct features, including a long face with a yellow complexion and short white hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was attired in a dark green jacket, black trousers, black shoes, and a dark blue beanie.

The police are urging anyone who may have any knowledge of Wong Yau-shing’s whereabouts or who may have seen him to come forward. They are specifically requesting that individuals contact the Regional Missing Persons Unit of New Territories South at either 3661 1176 or 5239 7701.
