Person in charge from bar at Knutsford Terrace, Tsim Sha Tsui arrested for violation of anti-epidemic regulations, 26 customers fined


20th June 2021 – (Hong Kong) The police received a report at about 2.15 am today (20th) that the bar on the first floor of No. 10 Knutsford Terrace, Tsim Sha Tsui, was still open and suspected of violating the “Prevention and Control of Disease Regulations.”

Police from the Anti-Triad Action Team of the Yau Tsim Police District arrived at the scene and found that the bar upstairs was open. Therefore, it was suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Provisions and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Cap 599F) ) And the “Prevention and Control of Diseases (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Regulations” (Cap599G). Police arrested a male person in charge of the bar surnamed Lau (42 years old), who was being detained for investigation.

The 17 male and 9 female customers in the venue were suspected of violating the “Prohibition Order” and they were not vaccinated against COVID-19. The police issued fixed penalty notices and verbal warnings to them.
