Person in charge and 62 customers arrested at unlicensed bar in Yuen Long


26th May 2022 – (Hong Kong) Yuen Long Police District Anti-Triad Action Team launched an anti-crime operation at about 1.30am in the morning today (26th) to raid an unlicensed bar located in an industrial building at 109-111 On Lok Road in Yuen Long.

Police smashed a suspected unregistered upstairs bar, and seized about 1,100 cans of beer, 2 bottles of spirits, a batch of audio-visual equipment and other evidence. During the operation, the police arrested a 20-year-old male person in charge on suspicion of “unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages”, “unlicensed possession of alcoholic beverages for sale” and violation of the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulations. Another 45 men and 16 women (aged 14 to 48) were arrested on suspicion of “drinking in a place without a liquor license”. They were also issued with fixed penalty notices.
