Person in charge and 2 gamblers arrested at illegal gambling den in Mong Kok


19th August 2022 – (Hong Kong) According to the information and after in-depth investigation, the Mong Kok Police District Special Duty Team launched an anti-illegal gambling operation last night (18th), raided a unit at No. 11 Nelson Street, and smashed a suspected illegal fishing game den.

Police officers arrested a man surnamed Chan (30 years old) in the unit on suspicion of “managing gambling establishments”, violating the “Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulations” and “going out without proof of identity” Documents”.

Another 47-year-old man and a 32-year-old mainland man were arrested on suspicion of “gambling in a gambling establishment”. During the operation, two fishing arcade machines, two shooting game machines, a batch of game cards, card readers and about HK$500 in gambling money were seized. All arrested persons are being detained for investigation.
