9th June 2023 – (Hong Kong) A man was struck by a route 89M minibus traveling between Kwai Fong and Kwai Hing at 12.22pm today. The accident occurred on Hing Fong Road near the opposite side of Metroplaza, where the man was hit and dragged under the vehicle. The fire department responded to the scene and rescued the victim, who remained conscious. The man sustained minor cuts and bruises on his arms and legs and was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
According to sources, the minibus was stationary at the time of the incident, and the driver was reversing. The man, who was walking in the opposite direction, did not notice the minibus backing up and was tragically hit and dragged under the vehicle.
