18th May 2019 – (Hong Kong) The driver of a KMB bus told a passenger not to stand on the staircase due to safety reasons yesterday. Feeling aggrieved, the passenger retaliated and used abusive language against the bus driver.
The bus driver immediately stopped his vehicle to question the passenger for his/her unreasonable behaviour. The passenger defended his/her behaviour relentlessly without showing signs of remorse.
Passengers are not allowed to obstruct the staircase in the interest of public safety and passengers are refrained from speaking to the bus captain when the bus is in motion unless it is necessary to do so on the grounds of safety.
No passenger is allowed to use any intimidating, insulting or abusive language or act in a manner likely to disturb the bus captain or other passengers on board.
