Parent company of KKplus refunds in full compensation paid by parents of child who damaged   Teletubby sculpture


24th May 2022 – (Hong Kong) A 5-year-old boy accidentally broke the  Teletubby  sculpture at the toy store KKplus in Langham Place, Mong Kok. The parents compensated HK$32,600 at “cost price”. KKplus issued a statement in the early morning saying that the incident was “completely resolved with the consent of both parties”, and the relevant statement had been deleted by 10am in the morning.

Kidsland International Holdings Limited, the parent company of the toy store expressed its sincere apology to the child’s family and has given a full refund.

The store also admitted that it is necessary to take protective measures and set up barriers for large exhibits, and will review the safety issues. The store will also ask the copyright owner of the exhibits whether they need to be removed from the shelves.
