29th November 2019 – (Hong Kong) Netizens urged protesters to gather at the British Consulate General of Hong Kong in Admiralty this evening to show solidarity with Simon Cheng, the ex-British Consulate who was detained by Shenzhen police for 15 days for prostitution. They were worried that Simon Cheng and his family will be targeted by the Beijing Government after he ‘exposed’ that he was tortured and confessed under duress.

At 7.30pm, there were over 200 protesters who participated in a movement called “We are all Simon Cheng’ at the British Consular in Admiralty before proceeding to Pacific Place. They urged the U.K. Government to provide asylum to Simon Cheng and his family and to interfere with this matter. They also urged the U.K. Government to grant full citizenship to Hong Kongers who hold BNO passports.
