25th September 2020 – (Hong Kong) The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health has announced at 2pm today that as of 0.00am today the CHP was investigating two additional confirmed COVID-19 cases taking the number of cases to 5,059 in Hong Kong so far (comprising 5,058 confirmed cases and one probable case).
Both new patients have no travel history during incubation period. Case No.5058 is a 50-year-old male and Case No. 5059 is a 40-year-old man.
The two newly reported cases were epidemiologically linked with local cases.
As at 9am today, seven COVID-19 confirmed patients were discharged from hospital in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 4,765 patients with confirmed or probable infection have been discharged.
At present, there are 641 negative pressure rooms in public hospitals with 1,158 negative pressure beds activated. A total of 160 confirmed patients are currently hospitalised in 17 public hospitals, among which 12 patients are in critical condition, nine are in serious condition and the remaining 139 patients are in stable condition.
