23rd March 2023 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong’s Ocean Park is set to become the ultimate destination for mecha enthusiasts and anime fans with the Ocean Park X Father of Gundam Okawara Kunio 50th Anniversary Exhibition from 1st April to 4th June 2023. The exhibition will showcase globally-acclaimed Japanese mecha designs by Kunio Okawara, who has shaped mechanical design trends in Japan with his revolutionary works.
The exhibition promises an unforgettable adventure for visitors as they step into the indoor Okawara Kunio Mech Design Base. The base will be a treasure trove of mecha statues, sketches and designs, including the 4-metre tall Gundam Seed Strike Freedom and the OKAWARA_SMURF figure never seen before in Hong Kong.
