15th June 2022 – (Bangkok) According to national police chief Suwat Jangyodsuk in Thailand, the death of TV actress Nida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong appears to be an accident based on the evidence.

However, there was a new development in the incident recently, referring to the discovery that her body was abnormal, which proved that Tangmo was suspected of being abused before she passed away. In addition to previous witness who said that Tangmo died in a tragic state, there was a suspected video of the crime scene on that day. In the video, a woman kept screaming for help, and it was suspected that two men were pulling and beating a woman at the bow of the boat. According to reports, Tangmo fell into the river at 10.34pm after boarding the yacht belonging to a tycoon on the same day. A netizen who happened to film the night scene captured the critical moment. The video shows the voice of a woman calling for help. Netizens also believed that the woman was indeed calling “Help”, and her voice sounded very similar to Tangmo. In addition, netizens said that in addition to hearing “Help”, they also heard the woman calling. “Let me go!” In the video, a man was seen pushing and pulling a woman at the bow of the boat while another man assisted in suppressing the girl.

After the video was circulated on the Internet, it sparked a lot of discussion. Tangmo’s agent, Gattick, was asked about this when he was interviewed. He admitted that Tangmo did have a dispute with the owner of the yacht that night, and the two scolded each other, but still insisted that Tangmo fell into the river from the toilet on board. Since the image on the video is relatively blurred, it is not yet possible to be used as key evidence.

According to Bangkok Post, the body of the 37-year-old actress was recovered on 26th February almost two days after she fell into the Chao Phraya River while on a speedboat with five others.

Tanupat “Por” Lerttaweewit and Phaiboon “Robert” Trikanjananun, were charged with operating an unlicensed vessel and negligence leading to death after the incident. The other three on board were Idsarin “Gatick” Juthasuksawat, Tangmo’s manager; Wisapat “Sand” Manomairat and Nitas “Job” Kiratisoothisathorn.

It was reported that the five were summonsed for questioning on Sunday. They have been fiercely criticised by netizens over the incident with Tangmo’s mother also wading into the debate in a row over compensation for her daughter’s death.

At least 29 witnesses have now been questioned in the probe into the actress’ death.
