26th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) Netflix has had a busy first quarter in 2023, releasing a range of new content including Shadow and Bone Season 2, You, Ginny and Georgia, and the forthcoming Murder Mystery 2. However, one of the most anticipated releases is the Korean crime thriller Kill Boksoon, set to premiere on 31st March.
Starring Jeon Do-yeon as Gil Boksoon, the film tells the story of a mother and hired killer with a 100% success rate. Boksoon works at an agency that hires assassins for jobs and decides to retire and focus on fixing her relationship with her daughter. However, one last assignment leads her to discover a secret, breaking her agency’s rules and causing everyone in the hitman industry to target her.
In addition to Kill Boksoon, Netflix is also set to release the sequel to its hit movie Murder Mystery on March 31st. Starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, the film follows Nick and Audrey Spitz as they try to solve the international abduction of their friend, the Maharaja, at his own wedding.
Other new releases include Unstable, a show about a biotech entrepreneur trying to save his company and reconnect with his estranged son, and Mae Martin: SAP, a standup comedy special.
Finally, Netflix’s new docuseries Emergency: NYC takes viewers behind the scenes of several hospitals in Manhattan, Queens, and Long Island. The show follows doctors, nurses, and EMTs as they deal with the daily dramas of their jobs, including COVID-related emergencies and the aftermath of the pandemic. The eight-episode series is set to premiere on March 29th.
