14th May 2019 – (Hong Kong) The famous Men-Ya Takeichi from Shinbashi in Tokyo has opened in TST recently. The signature broth is cooked with chicken over 13 hours and the thin Japanese noodles are freshly imported from Japan. The Chicken ramen Takeichi is served with homemade chicken slice and chicken meatballs. The Hong Kong store also has a special vegetarian broth to cater for vegetarians.
The Noukou Miso Chicken Soup Ramen (HK$100) was very flavourful and the same goes to the Tokyo Shoyu ramen (HK$90). Despite the fact the noodles were thinner, they tasted al-dente. We would highly recommend the Eel Rice bowl (HK$60) and Chicken with Spring onion rice bowl (HK$35).
However, we were disappointed by the interiors of the outlet and also the plastic cutlery used by the ramen shop. They don’t do justice to the high standard of the ramen.
