13th April 2024 – (Hong Kong) A woman believed to be in her forties or fifties was apprehended by authorities after she was witnessed striking the ground with a hammer at the intersection of Nam Cheong Street and Fuk Wing Street in Sham Shui Po at approximately 10.52pm yesterday (12th). The situation took a more alarming turn when the woman proceeded to place two knives on top of an electrical box nearby and brandish one of them, prompting concerned citizens to report the incident to the police.

Upon receiving the reports, law enforcement swiftly arrived at the scene and discovered a 30-centimetre-long kitchen knife and a 28-centimetre-long fruit knife placed on the aforementioned electrical box next to the woman. Following a preliminary investigation, it was determined that the woman was suspected of “possessing offensive weapons” and “failing to carry identification documents while outside,” leading to her arrest. She claimed to be feeling unwell and was subsequently taken to the hospital for medical attention while remaining conscious.
