In Hong Kong, guests will be able to appreciate the showcase of Japanese wagyu selection through a display cabinet placed at shopfront. Passing through an entrance tunnel bathed in light and shadow, diners will embark on a unique culinary journey to savour the expertly grilled meats offered by a team of experienced yakiniku masters. Ishidaya Hong Kong stays true to its origin store by incorporating the authentic Japanese elements into the Central store. Ishidaya Hong Kong boasts a one-of-a-kind yakiniku experience in a widely-spaced dining room. For guests looking for more privacy, they can choose from the three available private dining rooms perfect for personal or business gatherings. 

The menu offers a wide selection of meat, from wagyu beef to pork, chicken to seafood. A serving of the Kobe striploin and ribeye is priced at HK$688, while over 15 premium cuts of A4 and A5-grade Japanese wagyu are also available, ranging from HK$158 to HK$488 per dish with their special homemade sauces. Those looking to add a dose of freshness to their meal can choose from over a dozen Japanese vegetable and salad options.

A number between 1 and 5 then follows this letter – this is the “Quality Grade.” Four criteria determine how high the quality grade is: marbling, meat color and brightness, firmness and texture of meat, and colour, luster, and quality of fat. As such, A5 is the highest grade that Japanese wagyu beef can get and, also, the most expensive. Once you know what the wagyu grade system is all about, it will be a tremendous help in making a decision when what to order.

Flavour is superbly meaty and marbling was amazing. To say it melts in your mouth is an understatement. The A5-grade Japanese wagyu steak by YAKINIKU ISHIDAYA is probably the most tender and juiciest steak money can buy but diners have to be aware that there is a lot of fat content. Another must-try dish is the Wagyu Cold Noodles for two. Somehow, the Wagyu beef blends in perfectly with the al-dente noodles.

Meanwhile, the wine and drinks menu is specially curated to enhance the yakiniku experience, and includes a wide variety of sought-after Japanese sake, shochu imported from Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Okinawa and more, ice-cold draught beer, beloved Japanese whisky brands such as YOICHI and MIYAGIKYO, cocktails, fine wines and more.
