Multiple vehicle collision on eastbound Kwun Tong Bypass results in three injuries and temporary full road closure towards Yau Tong


21st November 2023 – (Hong Kong) Two vans, a seven-seater car, and a 5.5-ton truck collided along the eastbound lanes of the Kwun Tong Bypass, near Phase 7 of the Millennium City development. The incident occurred at around 6pm this evening. Two men and one woman sustained minor injuries and were promptly treated by paramedics before being taken to the hospital for further examination. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.

Due to the traffic incident, the entire eastbound section of the Kwun Tong Bypass, heading towards Yau Tong, was temporarily closed. Furthermore, the express lane of the Kwun Tong Bypass, heading towards Mong Kok and near Lai Yip Street, was also closed for a period of time. Commuters are advised to take note that Kowloon Motor Bus services operating along the Kwun Tong Bypass towards Yau Tong may be affected. It is recommended that alternative public transportation options, such as the MTR service, be considered. Motorists are encouraged to explore alternative routes, as the current location experiences heavy traffic congestion.
