20th June 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 12.40am yesterday, a Tsuen Wan line MTR train exceeded its designated stopping point on an adjacent track and bumped slightly into the buffer stop at Admiralty Station. No one was injured in the incident as there were no passengers on board. The train driver was temporarily suspended to assist investigations on the accident.
As a safety precautions, MTR has sent the train back to the depot for inspection. The accident has not affected the train service today.
