23rd April 2024 – (Hong KOng) The MTR Corporation indicated that a signal malfunction at Hong Kong Station is causing significant delays on the Airport Express and Tung Chung Line, with additional travel time expected. Passengers are advised to allocate extra time for their journeys.

The disruption, which occurred around 3pm today, necessitates a slower pace for trains passing through the affected segment between Hong Kong and Kowloon stations. Consequently, the Airport Express, which operates between Hong Kong Station and AsiaWorld-Expo, is expected to face delays of 15 to 20 minutes. Similarly, additional travel time is likely for the Tung Chung Line between Hong Kong and Tung Chung stations.

Moreover, the In-town Check-in services have been temporarily suspended until further notice.

The MTR Corporation has urged commuters to plan ahead and consider these delays when scheduling their travels.
