MTR Headquarters in Kowloon Bay is closed today to prevent protesters from besieging

26th August 2019 – (Hong Kong) MTR Corp closed down several MTR stations during recent districtwide anti-extradition protests. Many protesters called upon others to besiege the MTR headquarters in Kowloon Bay at 8.30am today to make several demands i.e. not to close train stations or suspend train services to cause inconvenience to civilians and not to allow police to use force inside MTR Stations.

In response, MTR closed their headquarters today while staff have been relocated to other offices and some would work from home.

At 8.30am today, no protesters gathered at the entrance while the security officers on duty also said that the office would remain closed for the day. Some plain clothes police officers were spotted patrolling nearby.
