MTR Exhibition Station reopens to public after President Xi leaves Hong Kong

1st July 2022 – (Hong Kong) The flag-raising ceremony for the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland and the inauguration ceremony of the 6th government were held this morning. The core security area and security area were set up near the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. In addition, the Information Services Department of the Government earlier rejected reporters and photographers from several media organisations due to “security reasons”, and in the end, only less than 10 reporters were allowed to enter the venue for interviews.

After the completion of the ceremony and the departure of President Xi Jinping, MTR Exhibition Station has reopened to public, and the East Rail Line has resumed train services.
