More than 20 Chinese flags and HKSAR flags pulled from railings in North Point and left on roadside

2nd October 2022 – (Hong Kong) At 5.20am today (2nd), when a passerby walk past the junction of Watson Road and Electric Road in North Point, they found more than 20 Chinese flags and HKSAR flags pulled from the railings and left on the side of the road. Some flags and bamboo poles were left on the traffic lane. They were run over and destroyed by passing cars, and passers-by immediately called the police for help. Police officers arrived at the scene and seized 12 Chinese flags and 12 HKSAR flags. The case was initially classified as criminal damage and handed over to the Eastern District Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. No arrests have been made so far.
