Witnesses said the animal was spotted at Hau Tak Estate, and images shared online showed it retreating from the unit after grabbing items from the kitchen area.
Online speculation suggested the flat might be located in Tak Yue House at Hau Tak Estate on Po Ning Road.
Hang Hau, including Hau Tak Estate and its blocks such as Tak Yue House, is situated in Tseung Kwan O where occasional monkey activity has been recorded.
