Missing man from Tin Shui Wai found in Yuen Long after one-day disappearance


3rd December 2023 – (Hong Kong) A woman in Yuen Long District has reported her husband, Chan Chun-hei (36 years old), missing after he left their residence at 88 Tin Shui Road in Tin Shui Wai around 9am yesterday (2nd). The last known signal from his mobile phone was detected on Bride’s Pool Road in Tai Po, raising concerns of a possible accident. Despite extensive search efforts by rescue personnel, there has been no trace of him found thus far.

Authorities investigating the case discovered that the last known signal from his mobile phone was detected on Bride’s Pool Road in Tai Po. The case has been classified as a missing person’s case. Rescue personnel conducted searches but have not found any leads. As of this morning (3rd), the fire department was continuing its search operation. At approximately 11am, the man was found on Shap Pat Heung Road in Yuen Long. He was uninjured and conscious and was taken to Pok Oi Hospital for examination.

The missing man is approximately 1.69 meters tall, weighing around 65 kilograms, with a medium build, pointed face, fair skin, and short brown hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was last seen wearing a dark blue long-sleeved jacket, black trousers, black shoes, and carrying a black shoulder bag.

It is understood that the missing man is married and has two young sons. This morning, his wife posted a message on a social media platform and uploaded a photo of her husband’s truck, appealing to netizens for any information. According to reports, the wife had been in contact with her husband until 11am, but was unable to reach him since 2pm yesterday, prompting her to report him missing. Authorities investigating the case found that the last location of his mobile phone signal was on Bride’s Pool Road. The missing man was reportedly facing financial difficulties in recent days. Additionally, he had gone missing once before in January 2022 on Kau Yuk Road in Yuen Long but was found the following day on Bride’s Pool Road in Tai Po. He was uninjured, and no suspicious circumstances were identified in that case.
