12th August 2022 – (Hong Kong) A hiker found a man unconscious at Section 9 of Lantau Trail, Lantau Island, near a beach in Lo Kei Wan at around 1pm today.
When the police arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the victim was dead. Due to the remote location of the site and inconvenient transportation, a helicopter from the Government Flying Service was deployed to the scene to assist in transporting the victim.
It is reported that the victim was a missing person aged 46 years old, Lam. He was last seen on Eastern Street in Sai Ying Pun on 7th August. The social worker contacted him on the 6th of this month, but he lost contact with him after that. The social worker later called the police for help.
