21st August 2026 – (Hong Kong) Mega Sky, the rooftop garden crowning MegaBox in Kowloon Bay, continues to capture imaginations as it undergoes yet another creative transformation. Spanning an impressive 30,000 square feet atop Level 18, the garden delivers sweeping 270-degree vistas across East Kowloon and Victoria Harbour, set against evolving scenes from dazzling midday skylines to a golden dusk and vibrant city lights. With a thoughtfully landscaped environment dotted with trees and a welcoming expanse of grassy lawn, the rooftop oasis is fast becoming a preferred retreat for moments of relaxation or striking photographic backdrops.
The garden’s latest chapter introduces an inspired collaboration with Art Dreamers, a local creative platform, who have teamed up with respected artist Li Hok Fung to breathe new life into Mega Sky through Hong Kong’s first community art project fusing colossal murals with three-dimensional installations. At the centre of this spectacle, Mr Li’s charming corgi character leaps off the wall and materialises as Mochi, an endearing 10-metre-wide furry inflatable corgi enjoying pride of place on the lawn. Such is Mochi’s appeal and level of craftsmanship, with every strand of fur and playful smile rendered in lifelike detail, that visitors are greeted daily by this joyfully oversized companion as they soak in the sunset alongside impressive harbour views. Mochi is the perfect photo companion, curling up on the grass and basking contentedly until nightfall, promising every visitor a heart-warming encounter.
Evenings at Mega Sky bring an additional layer of excitement with a nightly cat and dog themed light show, where immense illuminated animal figures appear in step with an enchanting musical score. The ever-changing displays create a dreamlike atmosphere reminiscent of a storybook land, blending spectacle and serenity for families, couples, and visitors of all ages. Complementing these immersive experiences is an impressive display of winning student artworks celebrating the creativity of young artists from across Hong Kong, offering further reason to linger and explore.
The giant corgi Mochi installation welcomes visitors from now until 4th October 2026, embracing guests from 1.00pm to 10.00pm on weekdays and from 11.00am on weekends and public holidays. The free light show runs every evening until 13th September 2026, from 7.30pm to 9.00pm, with all events hosted at the Mega Sky rooftop garden on Level 18 of MegaBox.
