22nd November 2019 . – (Hong Kong) Five days after the savage clash between protesters and the police, at around 1.30pm yesterday, Dr Lam Tai-fai, Council and Court Member and Deputy Council Chairman of Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the Vice Presidents of PolyU, Professor Alexander Wai and Yang, Chair Professor of Materials Engineering and Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Man Hau-chung conducted surveillance around the campus. They pointed out that the university cafeteria was very dirty and they confronted the chef who has been staying in the kitchen to cook for the remaining protesters. The chef requested them to help to clean the kitchen and they obliged. All of them helped to clean the kitchen for 30 minutes except Dr.Lam who was absent. Garbage and leftover ingredients were scattered all over the kitchen as the chef has no one to assist him.

During an interview, the chef who used an American flag as a bandana to cover his face told a media reporter that he is akin to a chef on Titanic, the captain and the violinist will never abandon a sinking ship. He will cook for the protesters as long as the last person still remains on the campus.
