23rd March 2023 – (Moscow) Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has declared that the United States is a hostile country seeking to cause damage to Russia. In an interview with Russian media outlets, including TASS and users of the VKontakte social media network, Medvedev stated that the U.S. is currently Russia’s enemy, adding that they are trying to cause as much damage as possible.

Medvedev highlighted that the US holds a consistent stance towards Russia, in contrast to European nations who are unable to make decisions that benefit Europeans. He accused European leaders of being “unable to make decisions that benefit Europeans” and “doing it not even for ideological reasons, but out of stupidity and cowardice.”

According to Medvedev, the U.S. aims to tear apart Russia and put Europe under their spell, making it unable to move. He claimed that the U.S. is achieving its goals, and that European nations have become a cash cow for the United States at the expense of their taxpayers.

Medvedev suggested that the reason for the U.S.’ hostile stance towards Russia is due to the fact that sometimes, the leaders that come to power there start getting clever. He cited examples of leaders withdrawing from NATO or suspending membership, which he claimed could cause damage to Russia.

Medvedev stated that the US’ position is perfectly logical, and he cannot understand the position of European leaders who are unable to make decisions that benefit Europeans. He emphasised that European nations “are no longer an independent subject of international law as they have simply become a cash cow for the United States at the expense of their taxpayers, and they are doing it not even for ideological reasons, but out of stupidity and cowardice.”
