Media reporters found around 142 tear gas shells/rubber bullets at protest sites

13th June 2019 – (Hong Kong) During the Occupy Central in 2014, police fired a total of 87 tear gas shots. Media reporters found approximately 142 tear gas shells and rubber bullet shells on Legislative Council Road (36), Tim Mei Avenue (44) and Lung Wui Road (62). Most of them were tear gas shells.

The tear gas shells/rubber bullets were believed to be only a portion of the total fired as many were collected by protestors yesterday.

Stephen Lo Wai Chung, the Commissioner of Police of the Hong Kong Police will hold a press conference at 5pm later today to announce the total amount of ammunition used yesterday.
