Man with triad background kidnapped in Tsuen Wan and assaulted in private car before being thrown out from vehicle in Kowloon City

6th December 2022 – (Hong Kong) A man surnamed Yeung (27 years old) reported to the police at 3am today (6th), saying that he was kidnapped by two men in a private car earlier at the junction of Kwok Shui Road and Tai Yuen Street in Tsuen Wan. He was assaulted causing his head to be injured. The private car then drove to No. 79, Fuk Lo Tsun Road, Kowloon City, about 12 kilometres away before stopping. The perpetrators then pushed the victim out of the car and continued to drive away. The victim sustained hand and head injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

After investigation by the police, the case was classified as assault causing actual bodily harm, and the criminal investigation team of the Kowloon City Police District will follow up. The police are investigating the cause of the incident.

It is reported that the victim is suspected to have a triad background and is suspected to be involved in a financial dispute involving hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong dollars.

Before the incident, the victim was having supper in Kwai Chung. He was then taken by force into a car before being assaulted.
