Man with multiple stab wounds found at Hoi Fu Court in Mong Kok before being certified dead, 2 other injuries reported (Updated: 8.55pm)


29th November 2022 – (Hong Kong) The police received a report at 6.24pm today (29th) that a bleeding man was found lying on the ground in a corridor at  Hoi Yan House, Hoi Fu Court, Mong Kok with multiple stab wounds. A man called the police earlier and said that he had killed someone.

At the same time, the residents of the building also heard the call of help coming from the corridor. The police rushed to the scene and found a bleeding man (64 years old) on the staircase of the building. He had wounds on his neck and head and subsequently fell into a coma. He was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital by ambulance, but he was subsequently certified dead. Another female resident at the scene was also sent to the hospital for treatment. The police also found that the man who reported the case climbed out of the window of a unit and sat precariously. The firefighters were called to the scene and deployed an inflated air cushion on the ground.

The police and firefighters tried to persuade the man before rescuing him to a safe place. He was later sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for examination by ambulance. The firefighters at the scene said that a father and son lived in the unit where the crime occurred. One of them used a sharp weapon and corrosive liquid to attack the other party, causing both the murderer and the victim to suffer burns.
