Man who pushed woman down to railway track at MTR Tai Hing (North) Station did it because he lost his bets on horse racing


29th November 2021 – (Hong Kong) At about 4pm yesterday the police received a report from a man who alleged that his wife was suddenly pushed down to the track from the platform by a man while waiting for the train at MTR Tai Hing (North) Station. It is reported that the officers arrested the man in Tuen Mun district yesterday night after checking CCTV footage.

According to reports, the police intercepted the 33-year-old suspect at MTR Light Rail Ching Chung Station, 5 stations away from the scene of the crime. He admitted that he had lost money from betting on horse races yesterday, so he pushed the woman down the track just to vent his anger. The suspect reported work as a transport driver and lives at Hing Yiu House in Tai Hing Estate.
