2nd February 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 1pm today, a staff member of Silka Tsuen Wan Hotel at No. 119 Wo Yi Hop Road, Kwai Chung reported to the police that a guest was suspected of using a plastic bag to suffocate himself to death in the room. Paramedics rushed to the scene and certified the victim dead. Police are following up the identity of the deceased in the room, as well as the reason for his suicide. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed by an autopsy.
