Man rescued and sent for medical examination after distressed episode on dangerous rooftop location in Mong Kok


21st April 2024 – (Hong Kong) At 1.46pm today, a man in his forties was found lingering on a precarious rooftop position at 660 Shanghai Street in Mong Kok. During his presence on the rooftop, witnesses reported that the man was visibly distressed and continuously crying, raising concerns among residents that he may be contemplating self-harm.

Rescue personnel subsequently arrived at the scene to address the situation. They safely escorted the individual away from the dangerous location and, as a precautionary measure, transferred him to a medical facility for further examination. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and remain under investigation.
