Man jumps to his death from top of pedestrian footbridge near On Tai Estate in Sau Mau Ping


26th November 2022 – (Hong Kong) At 9.46pm last night (25th), the police received a report from a passer-by that a man was lying unconscious on the slope at the bottom of the footbridge near On Tai Estate, Sau Mau Ping. The paramedics arrived at the scene after receiving the report and sent the victim to the United Christian Hospital for emergency treatment, but unfortunately he was finally certified dead. The police seized a suicide note at the scene. After preliminary investigation, it was confirmed that the male victim (47 years old), fell from the top of a pedestrian footbridge. It is believed that the incident was not suspicious. It is reported that the deceased has been troubled by financial problems recently, and it is not ruled out that he committed suicide as a result.
